One of the best things about iPods and MP3 players is 'playlists'. You
can combine different tracks from a CD or different CDs into a list,
thus making up your own temporary CD to listen to. The MindBalancing
CD gives you the freedom to create your own relaxation and meditation
playlists. For this purpose the CD contains a one-minute track of
'silence' and a two-minute track of the sound of waves. There is also
a brief 'ending' track which you can use to guide yourself out of any
period of silence or sound. Obviously you can multiply the silence or
waves tracks to create longer periods of sound or silence in between
various combinations of relaxation and meditation instructions.
So you can use all the exercises on the MindBalancing CD separately -
each one is beneficial in its own right. But you also have the option
to combine different exercises, lengthen or shorten them, and add
periods of sounds or silence. You can thus design and vary your own
relaxation and meditation programme according to need and preference
or to have a more varied programme. The tray card of the CD has many
suggestions of how to combine exercises and then create different
playlists for your iPod or MP3 player or by simply programming your CD
player to play different sequences.
